Adult Groups and Activities
At Homelands there is a wide range of groups and activities for adults, some meeting weekly and some less frequently. Here are the main activities, they are all at the church unless it says otherwise. Do contact us if you would like more information about any of them. It would be great if you could come and join us.
Womens' Fellowship
On Monday afternoons from 2.30 till 3.45 pm, a varied programme of activities to suit all tastes.
Line Dancing
On Tuesday afternoons from 2.00 pm. Come and meet new friends, get some exercise and have plenty of fun too. Beginners are especially welcome from 2.00 till 2.30 pm, with everybody welcome from 2.30 till 4.00 pm.
Hobby Pop-In
Also on Tuesday afternoons at the church from 2.00 pm. Meet new friends while you enjoy your own hobby with others, or if you don't have a hobby you will soon be introduced to something new!
Men's Focus Group
A fortnightly meeting for men, on Tuesday evenings 7.30 till 9.00 pm, to build up and encourage each other and to share our faith within the community.
Tuesday Break
A fortnightly informal meeting for women, helping to turn aquaintances into friendship. Tuesday Break meets on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 till 9.00 pm, alternating with the Men's Focus Group.
Coffee Morning
On Wednesdays from 10.30 am till 12.00, a time of informal fellowship with plenty of tea and coffee on offer. Our coffee mornings at present are supporting the Essex Air Ambulance.
House Groups
We have a range of house-groups, most of them meeting fortnightly on Thursdays. For more information about our house-group venues, times etc., do contact us.
Bible Study and Prayer
Fortnightly on Thursday evenings at 7.30 pm (alternating with House Groups), a time to learn from God's word and to pray together.
Salsacise
On Friday afternoons from 3.00 till 4.00 pm, another opportunity to exercise in the company of friends.
